Layer Swap Script needed, with extras...

Hello Chaps,
I'm looking for a script that will allow me to swap layers on the page, when clicking certain links. The page must show a default layer when loaded, if the page is linked to in the usual way.

The tricky bit is this:

I want to be able to link to the page from external pages, using links that will specify which layer is visible when the page loads. I have a script that will allow me to specify which layer to show from an external link, thanks to code exploiter, and I have a script that will let me swap layers within a page, but not one that will let me do both.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks for this link, unfortunately, it's to a previous thread of my own, and the problem with the code that Codeexploiter has sent me (Great though it is) is that it only does half of the job. It allows me to link to the page, and to specify which layer should be visible, but not to then be able to switch layers once on the page itself. Unless there is more to it than I am realising...

If I am missing something, and there is a way to swap the layers once on the page using this code, please let me know how.
