Default PDF's in HTML like JGP's?

    Hi,

I've been looking around the web trying to find an answer to this, but I can't seem to find one (at least not one that I like!).

My question is: Is it possible to display a .pdf document in the same way as a regular .jpg or .gif image?
I.E. as an object in the middle of an HTML document, and not as a document on it's own that you have to link to.

I suspect not, at least that is the feeling I have been getting from Googling this, but I haven't come across a page that says definately not.

    Any input?

    Additional Info:
This is for an intranet (again) and all users will be using IE6, and everyone has at least Adobe Reader 6 installed.

    well,
First of all tell me wheather it is a large .pdf document or a small page only.
In case you just have a small page to be displayed in a html document ,
you can use some screen capture software found at--
    http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/gmm/fwscreen.html
which will save your pdf page in any format you wish.

Yeah I'd like to do this too, but think some over-riding of the browsers preferences would be required...

I think you may be able to stick it in an iframe but, it will still have the adobe 'chrome' around it if the user has adobe installed in the usual manner.

The other way is to convert the pdf to html. Try these sites:
    http://guiguy.wminds.com/downloads/p...lgui/down.html
    Or search www.google.com
You'll find many results as well as more help on this.
