I need to control the slideshow with buttons (previous and next), but this script is automatic. Is it possible to control manually the slideshow of this script?

There's no easy way to extend the script to do that right now unfortunately. However, for something very similar and that does allow this, you may want to look at Featured Content Glider: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...tentglider.htm
