    Default Invisible Menu Labels

    1) Script Title: Blm Multi-level Effect menu

    2a) Script URL (on DD): http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/blmmenu/index.htm

    2b) Problem URL: http://jesdisciple.110mb.com/index.php

    3) Describe problem: The menu items' text is invisible, even on 'hover'. I can change it to green or red in the CSS and even Ctrl+A doesn't show it, but it's obviously in the source and the CSS has no applicable "display: none" or "visibility: hidden" declarations... Help?

    Change the highlighted one in your code other than white:
    menu a:hover
    { color: white; font-style: italic; }
    ..and one thing,,why is it that your CSS is a .php file?..
    See if it helps

    You have somehow managed to hide that portion of the menu that contains text behind another element on the page. In your style section add the highlighted:

    Code:
    #menu{
    	background-color: black;
    	width: 20%;
    	height: 316px;
    	float: left;
    	position:relative;
    	z-index:100;
    }
    And you will see it. I find once I can see something, it becomes much easier to deal with it. Most likely you will want to change other styles to size it, and position it and/or its text portions, etc. more optimally.

    Man, I'm sorry... I didn't realize I didn't have email notification enabled in my options. I had ironically assumed that my post had been ignored.

    My menu is overhanging into the main content area, and the labels are too short to hang out of the overhang.

    Thanks!

    EDIT @rangana: Oops, thanks for that. And the .php extension allows me to calculate each set of related CSS values from one PHP variable. So if I change my mind about what those values should be, I adjust one value and the rest accommodate it.
