Default Firefox animated gif display problem

Whenever i view animated GIFs ,in a webpage, or just the actual gif file, firefox only displays the first frame. Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.

What version of firefox do you have? See if theres any download on the firefox website that is a fix to this problem. If you already have I don't know what to tell you... Sorry.
