Fixed position for menu pop up/down

3) Describe problem:
this script is great but I need to give it fixed positioning. In other words, the menu needs to come up in a very specific relation to the link that calls it. I don't need it to be smart and avoid browser edges. I just need it to always be in the same place above the link (the link can be anywhere on the page).

Is this possible? Is there a different menu script I'd be better off using?

Please help! I'm getting a bit desperate trying to control this.

Well, right now the menu already will always drop down relative to the link that's activating it, so in that case, it's already "fixed". So are you merely asking how to tweak it so the menu always drops up (instead of only doing so when there's not enough room below the link to show it)?
