slideshow/gallery

I'm looking for a script that is a combination of a slideshow and a gallery.

I would like to have a main picture at the top and some (probably 4) thumbnails below. Each thumbnail has to be clickable and changes the main picture and it should "autoplay", so that a new main picture is loaded every few seconds.
I also would like to have a border appear over the thumbnail of the picture showing as the main picture, but the border should slide from one thumbnail to another (as an animation - different layer? - and not jump from one to another).

Anyone knows or has such a script? or is there a script outthere that can be easily modified to my wishes?

Instead of the "pagenumber", i would like a thumbnail (I probably can figure out how to do that). The part where a border slides from one "number" to another. will give some major problems.

EDIT 2: a perfect example of what I'm talking about is the Joomla Frontpageslideshow.
