dynamic page/list filter

I use LogMeIn.com to manage and remotely support a lot of computers.
On their homepage you have a list of all the computers. There is a search function that removes PCs from the list as you type in the search box.

Does anyone know how the filter effect when typing in the 'search computers' box is achieved?

I wanted to use it on my website but I couldn't find a similar script.

It can be achieved by an onkeyup or onkeypress event handler
