event listing help

what im looking for is an events script that shows the current week with the current day highlighted and events on that day listed below with time and event with the event linked with more info. for now i would just like the basic script without the linked i can figure that out. bellow is an crude example of what i want.

have the current week listed:
12 l 13 l 14 l 15 l 16 l 17 l 18 l

have the current date highlighted with the events for that day under it.

time l event l location

9.00pm 01.15.2008 l free admission l Iguanas
short description.....more
9:30pm 01.15.2008 l free admission l The Stadium
short description.....more
9.30pm 01.15.2008 l free admission l Eggspectations
short description.....more

is there a script out there that i can copy. id like ti to use a database with the events in the database stored. any help please i am desperate. thanks alot.!!



If anyone has used the itouch. i like the calendar system that uses and when you click a day it shows all events for that day. how could i create that?
