Default Animated Collapsible Div and animated gifs

    1) Script Title: Animated Collapsible Div

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...edcollapse.htm

    3) Describe problem: Running the script has the effect of freezing animated gifs. Apart from refreshing the page, is there a way of 'reactivating' the gifs after running the script?

    4) The script can be seen at http://www.clag.org.uk (where the default position of the script is expanded). Great script, btw.

P.S. The script works only in an XHTML doc type declared page, and doesn't seem to work in an HTML4 declaration. I'm not too bothered about this, but I'd be interested in knowing why.

    Default

I just tested the demo on DD by adding an animated gif inside a DIV that's collapsed by default. In IE7 and FF2, the gif animates correctly after expanding the DIV.

Regarding the HTML4 doctype, that should work fine as well, as long as the syntax is valid (ie: contains a full URI), such as:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
