Could not get boxes in gAjaxpausescroller to show

I followed the directions but could not get the gAjaxpausescroller boxes to show or display anything. only a little red showed up inside the boxes with the captioins "Example 1....".

I did but, the all I got was Initiating RSS scroller...will try again...
