    Question Pausing up-down message scroller

    script: Pausing up-down message scroller
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/crosstick.htm

I'm having a couple problems with this script... first, it doesn't work properly in Firefox. Second, it somehow causes my mouseover sound effects to not play.

I understand that these are most likely multiple script issues that you may choose not to help me with.

Would using a remote-call for the script do anything to resolve these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The script works fine here in FF.

If you follow the links in this 'sticky':

Note: Questions regarding multiple script usage are not usually replied to due to their time consuming nature. See this thread for more information, and this tutorial for one possible solution.

You'll get info on avoiding conflicts. One method not mentioned there is the iframe method. If you put the scroller on a separate page and show it in a borderless iframe without scrollbars, it will look like it is on your page but avoid conflicts.

Thank you for replying and the useful info. In my haste to solve this I decided to use a flash scroller to avoid the javascript conflicts, but I'm sure the tutorial will be very handy in the future. Thanks.
