    Default looking for a new laptop

    hi, i am looking for an ultraportable laptop to use on the go, have any of you got any ideas, not on a tight budget.

    Although the minimum specs i want are:

    10" inch screen, normal or widescreen
    intel core 2 duo
    windows xp
    wlan
    bluetooth if possible
    dvd writer to be included internal or external
    1 gig ram
    100 gig hdd
    built in webcam would be nice

    Please if any of u have any good recomendations i would be happy to see

    There is no 10" screen (Unless you get the eee PC... but that doesn't suit you)
    The minimum now is 15.4" widescreen.

    Macs have nice 12" monitors. The macbooks are really nice, too.
    AND!!!! You can run XP on those natively. In fact, it fits every need you mention above.

    Actually, the macbooks aren't so bad. The pro versions are more expensive.

    But with the student discount, you can ge the macbook black, which is a great computer, for about $1,300, I believe.

    //shrug-- you get what you pay for.

    Remember, macs might be expensive, but I've never heard anyone complain about buying one after they've used it.

    OH, heh, that's what I get for reading too fast.

    But you can get almost twice the computer with a PC for less than 1300 of the macbook.

    I have used them all, not starting a war, to each his own and all that, but I haven't seen a mac product that can touch my PC and I still have (after 4 years with it) yet to break 1000 bucks on it. (internal product wise, we don't count software and childrens games)

    well i dont really like mac sherely cuz i like to upgrade my pc on my own and mac wants to do it for me........
    well if u just want a dependable pc then go for the mac with vista.(i love vista)
    dell also had a dual core with vista and blue tooth for around 700 i think.
    my cousin has it and he said it was around 700
