    Default layers and image maps

Hi, I am trying to position some layers relative to hotspots on an image map so no matter the person's browser size who is viewing it, they appear in the same place relative to the hotspots. I was told there was a script here for that but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help?

Description is a bit vague. There may also be a better approach we could suggest.
Can you link to your page, and explain exactly what functionality you desire?

I just decided to upload it, it's all left aligned so the absolute positioned layers work ok. I've been using div tags. I designed my site for 1020x whatever it is screen res, b/c that is what most are on these days. But some, like myself, use the 1280 and so there is a large amount of black background space on the right side. I wanted to have everything centered so that way there is equal amount of "white" space on both sides if someone views with 1280 but when I do that, the layers that the links are on shift of course because they are absolute positioned. If I try and make them relative, it just screws everything up and I couldn't get anything to look right. I've not used relative positioning before. I can't even figure out what it is relative to so I can tell it to be relative to the hotspots on my image.

So right now, my site looks how I want it to, just all left aligned instead of centered. I hope that makes more sense...I know enough to get me in trouble but not enough to really be good at this LOL. Being a poor college student, I haven't bought Dreamweaver so I'm still working off of GoLive (the most recent/last edition before Adobe bought out Macromedia)

    Thanks bunches!
