Blue inspires trust, psychologically. It's also an emotionally neutral colour that lends the site a "professional" air.

the company who made it probably think its a nice colour. It may also be the same colour as the company's logo![]()
Twey's answer is correct. Though the others are valid as well and may play a part, blue is known to the advertising and design industry to show trustworthiness, etc.
