Default Chrome drop down menu and Flash

    1) Script Title:
    Chrome CSS drop down meni

    2) Script URL (on DD):
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...rome/index.htm

    3) Describe problem:

I have the drop down menu above a flash animation, and the drop down is showing some unusual behavior: flashing, disappearing behind flash elements, etc.

See it in action here: http://www.peoplesbanknc.com/site2008/index.php

I see a few other posts with some solutions, but I can't seem to implement them correctly. I tried to follow the instructions in this post, http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/s...rop+Menu+flash, but can't get it to work right.

Could someone tell me exactly where to put these tags, or if another solution might work better?

    Thanks!
    Jon

Can anyone help troubleshoot this or at least take a quick look? The problem is on Mac, FF. The menu and flash are interacting in a bad way. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks!

Since I don't own a Mac, it's hard for me to debug the issue. But this is a topic that our resident mod John actually has discussed quite a few times. For example, in this thread, John shows another technique, by basically hiding the object (in your case, the Flash) that is causing troubles when the Chrome Menu drops down. You can try adapting that technique for the current version of Chrome CSS menu, plus the Flash on your page.

BTW, please note that your page is currently in violation of our usage terms, since the credit notice doesn't appear inline on the page. Please reinstate the credit notice: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/notice.htm

Thank you for the reply. I implemented John's additions to the script, it did not work. The dropdowns did not show at all once I uploaded the new script.

I see why the license was removed, I'm working to get it back on the site. Thanks for pointing that out.

    Any other suggestions?
