Threaded messageboard system?

Hey,
I'm looking for a free threaded messageboard system that the theme can easily be altered to the look of my website.

I've tried Mylittleforum, and although that is just what I want, I cannot do a theme without Smarty and I don't know my way around that.

Any suggestions would be awesome!

There are a few PHP forum scripts that support threaded views. vBulletin is one of them, though that may be overkill if all you're looking for is a simple forums script. You can take a look at Phorum: http://www.phorum.org/

I've tried it, and I think that is what I'm looking for!
Problem is I'm not very good with CSS, though I'm going to do what I can do make it work!
