Linking to text to display within a script

Is it possible to link text in a website to pull up within a script?

What I am trying to do is take away some of the coding side of things by providing the user with the flexibility of updating the data themselves.

So, I wanted to have some code that would ref anothe website, but would pull up the information where I want it. This would allow them to update the text without having to update it or add it into the coding.
