    Unhappy Linking between framesets

    Hi.. please help me!

I am creating an educational resource website that will be put onto a CD-ROM for students and I need to link from within one frameset to launch pages within another frameset - this could open in either the same window or a new window, so long as each link can be specified to open in a specific frame of a specific frameset.

Ie. Frameset one has multiple links that need to open up in the 'main' frame of a different frameset - ie. frameset 2. But also has links which need to open up within the same frameset.

I'm sure I saw a javascript code somewhere that did this but I can't find it now and I have no idea how to do this.

Is there anyone who could help me with this??? I would be most appreciative!

    With thanks,
    Sonya.

    Unhappy

Thank-you for your help, but unfortunately it's not quite what I need.

I need to have a code/script that can open a link from within frameset A to open specific pages within a new frameset - i.e. frameset B.

I know how to target links to open up within different frames of the SAME frameset... but my problems is how to open up pages within a different frameset.

Ideally I need the new frameset to open up in the same window and it has a different set up to the first frameset (i.e. I can't just change all the pages in the frames of the initial frameset, i need to open a new frameset)...

    I have three framesets:

    1) Opening (Home) Frameset
    2) Topic Framesets
    3) Activity Framesets

as shown in the following picture.

Generally I will need to target the 'main' section of any of the three framesets from any of the other two framesets...

    Anyone who has any ideas???
    Many thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Sonya

The normal way to do that would be to have various versions of each type frameset page made up, each with the various desired contents in their main section.
