Hi all

Just a quick one,

I'm having no joy with playing around with php, so am I flogging a dead donkey ! (I've no experience with php which don't help matters)

my aim is to do this http://www.leconjugueur.com/uknombre.php

I have found a php script which I can use but I'm trying to use it in the same manner as a javascript, is this possible. or could this php script be converted in to javascript as this is easier to use.(4 me)

I've just read elsewhere that you can't have an input client side for php as this loads server side first.

any help would be well appreciated

the code I'm playing with is:
Code:
<?php

//*************************************************************
// this function converts an amount into alpha words
// and adds the words dollars and cents. Pass it a float.
// works up to 999,999,999.99 dollars - send me a check

{
$moneystr = "";

$milval = (integer)($numval / 1000000);
if($milval > 0)
  {
  $moneystr = getwords($milval) . " Million";
  }

// handle the thousands
$workval = $numval - ($milval * 1000000); // get rid of millions
$thouval = (integer)($workval / 1000);
if($thouval > 0)
  {
  $workword = getwords($thouval);
