There are a few past threads on how to do this, albeit using the older version of Featured Content Slider (before the fade in effect was added). Anyhow, try the attached contentslider.js file. You will also want to edit contentslider.css to add in the following CSS rules to style the "back" button:

cursor: pointer;
cursor: hand;
padding: 0 5px;
color: #2e6ab1;
background-color: white;
font-weight: bold;
}

.pagination span:hover{
color: #000;
background-color: #FEE496;
}
