I have this suggestion but not sure where to post it. Sorry if this ist he wrong place but I could not find a better one.


I was trying to post an article on PHP (13832 characters) but I wasnt able to post it since the limit was for only 10000 characters.

Why is there a limitation?

can you please increase the limitation?

there is a limitation because 10k characters is alot of characters, and can most likely be re-written in less words.

Generally there are limitations for posts to prevent a malicious attempt to overload the server, because the actual max length of the post "text" type, is quite a bit. I am sure that you and ddadmin may be able to come up with a reasonable solution regarding the tutorial you want to post here.

If the content is justified, you may split it between two posts. That is the common practice for exceptions to this rule. However, please consider whether we really need to see everything, or if it can be summarized, or inferred, in part.

Alternatively, you could put up a live page on your host or server and post a link to it. Or make a .zip archive of the information and attach that to a post containing a summary of the archive.
