Applets and Rss Feed with Ajax?

I am not sure how to ask this...I am currently using Ajax on my site...and it works fine as long as I am using html and php...but when I try to add a html page with either Applet or Rss feed on it, it will show up as a stand alone page, but will not show up in the Ajax container...is there a modification or a code here on DD that I need to impliment?

As mentioned they are well enough stand alone, but will not show up in the container.
