Unhappy Has this been done? Having a hard time

I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to make two vertical menu's work with each other.

I have a vertical tree menu that has multiple levels to it, and on the last level of only certain 2nd levels, I need them to open a new menu in the column to the right and work just like a single level vertical tree menu.

I have a link to show you what it should look like. I don't want it to float or pop-up and would like for the 2nd menu to start at the top of the column. (as to starting next to the corresponding link)

Is this possible? Have any of you ever done anything like this before?

    Thank you,

Stu is the man when it comes to menus. CSS is great for this. Check out an example of one here and then the main menu page for tons of others.
