Question hv menu, or any alternate suggestions

    Hello,

I'm using the hv menu as nav for my large site.

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...menu/index.htm

I have over 1,000 pages, its my old gamer site for ad&d.

    The site is a sub-domain:
    http://crestar.drivein-jim.net/

when I put all of my pages in the menu.js file, it gets up around 56 kilobytes and the pages load very slowly.

A number of visitors told me they thought my site had crashed or locked up their computer. So I reduced the js file down to 15-18 kilobytes by removing the large number of surface map pages.

Is there a way to use this, or any other dhmtl menu, to load such a large site ?

    Thanks,
    falldown.

All javascript/dhtml menus use client-side databases as far as I know.

I have the surface maps, hundreds of them with one on each page, setup by columns and rows of maps. Each column's js file accesses 3 other adjacent columns of maps. It loads faster than having all of the columns in every js file.

If there was a script that didn't reload everytime, or loaded faster, that would work.

But if there isn't another solution, I'll just stick with the way I have above.

    Thanks,
    falldown.
