    Question Game question

    Ok here's my question, I'm at the part where I enter the town of Nakton and I move forward, the monster hits the knight and sends him flying, then I'm supposed to battle the monsters, well instead all I'm getting is error's. In ie it's just a blank blue screen that says:

    In IE x6
    opening page frameset_battle.html@enemy_attacks at www.butterflymedia.ro/dawn/

    and it will say done with error on page sign or it will say error on page.
    And In Firefox it's the black and red color background that says:

    In Firefox
    javascriptarent.local_animation()

    I'm not sure why it's not letting me continue on. can someone please help me with this???
    Thank you In Advance

    I've created a new thread from your post.

    I have very little idea what you're talking about. Did you make this?

    Also, when you do explain, please edit to have a new title that reflects the question (or post one and a moderator can add it if you can't at that point). This helps things stay organized.

    [EDIT: moved to lounge]

    Question

    Ok maybe this will help then. I'm at the part of the game where I'm with Sir Aldrwin and we enter the town of Nakton, Upon entering there's a little pop-up saying we're too late, then Sir Aldrwin takes a few steps forward and a monster hits him from behind, then there's another little pop-up where the monster says ha ha ha now it's your turn.

    At this Point the page is supposed to change and I'm supposed to go into battle with the monsters, well instead of going into a battle I get nothing, in ie (Internet Explorer version 6) I get a completely blank blue page and at the bottom of the page it says error on page, the script at the bottom of the page before it says error is: opening page frameset_battle.html@enemy_attacks at www.butterflymedia.ro/dawn/

    If I try using firefox to do the battle, at the bottom of the page it says: error on page,done.
    and I get the basic black screen with little red dots on it but no pictures or anything.

    the script it says right before that is:
    javascript: ptarent.local_animation()

    I know firefox is compatible with the game, but I'm still not sure why it's not letting me fight the monsters in ie. I hope this helps clear it up a little, And I'm trying to find/figure out how it will let me fight and continue on with the game, and I'm sorry for posting in the form rules I didn't mean too.

    Well, do you expect us to play the game up to that point to find it? Maybe someone will be bored tomorrow. //shrug

    It sounds to me like there is a problem with some sort of redirect in the Javascript, or a loading operation (grabbing external content).

    Especially within a large system like that, it's hard to diagnose specifically.

    Regardless of what browsers it should work for, there may simply be an error in the code. That's certainly what it sounds like.
    One thing I can tell you is that Internet Explorer is buggy in general and has (at best) limited error reporting. So, I'm not surprised that both IE and FF don't work, and that FF gives you a reason, while IE does not.

    Though, given enough time, we might be able to find and even solve the error, the best approach would be to contact the game's creator, as we won't be able to fix it anyway, without access to his server.
