Using background images instead of color code

3) Describe problem: I use this menu on my forums. I'm a little familiar with the properties.htm page that's included in this script. (nice menu script by the way)...Kudos! I'm familiar with how to change the color of the menu bar by coding barbgcolor in the mmenu.js script.

Is there a way to code it so that a background image is used instead of color text code? I'd like the bar to either use a background image or be transparent so the bar blends in with the border of my forum behind it.

Any help is greatly appreciated...
