but with the following functionality:

there would be a series of thumbnails sitting horizontally across the screen. clicking on the "next" arrow would cause the first thumbnail to "drop off" the screen, everything shifts over to the left, and the next image appears at the end.

example:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ------- click "next" to get:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ------- click "next" to get:
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ------- and so on.

i would need to be able to go in reverse too.

i did this ( http://www.32-bits.com/acorn ) for someone yesterday. but he didn't like how the gallery simply moved to the next set of thumbnails. he wants it to be continuous.
