    Question Flexi Sideshow

    Script- http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...flexislide.htm

    Hi:
A few questions re this script: 1. Can I use more than 3 variables in this script and if so How?
    2. do I have to include in my web site the last 5 lines (see below) or is there some other way to include this information so that it's not visible on the web- ie so that it's in the script only or is there some other alternative

    <ilayer id="slidensmain" width=&{slidewidth}; height=&{slideheight}; bgColor=&{slidebgcolor}; visibility=hide><layer id="slidenssub" width=&{slidewidth}; left=0 top=0></layer></ilayer>

    <p align="center"><font face="Arial" size="-2">Free DHTML scripts provided by<br>
    <a href="http://www.dynamicdrive.com">Dynamic Drive</a></font></p>
    Thanks

    Answer:
    1. Yes You can... Example If You want to add a fourth variable, add this (for example)...
    Code:
variableslide[3]=['clock.gif', '', 'what time is it?']
Don't forget to change the number inside the [] bracket. If You want to add a fifth, change it to 4, and so on

    2. I don't think You should delete
    Code:
    <ilayer id="slidensmain" width=&{slidewidth}; height=&{slideheight}; bgColor=&{slidebgcolor}; visibility=hide><layer id="slidenssub" width=&{slidewidth}; left=0 top=0></layer></ilayer>
I don't exactly know what it is for, but I think it's there for compatibility issue.

As for the two last line, You can delete them, but make sure You keep the
    Code:
    /***********************************************
    * Flexi Slideshow- Dynamic Drive (www.dynamicdrive.com)
    * This notice must stay intact for use
    * Visit http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for full source code

Thanks Gigabites for answering all of the points so correctly. Regarding 2), yes, it's for compatibility reasons, namely, Netscape 4. The next time we get to updating Flexi Slideshow, we'll probably remove that portion, as NS4 is basically irrelevant these days.

I just used that this morning, check out the source on http://katsmith.net/3iris.shtml. I added more photos and text on one of them.

This is only a test page for someone who I will be working with shortly hence the 2 different backgrounds, links that go nowhere and lack of content :-) but the slideshow works!!!
