Glossy Vertical Menu-horizontal

I am trying to find a way to make the Glossy Vertical Menu found here

horizontal. There is a brief instruction posted in the comments but I am new to css and don't understand.
I want to keep the vertical menu and add a horizontal one as well.

I will greatly appreciate instructions on this. Please remember that I am just learning css and have just a basic understanding of html.
