Cursor Trailer Text

I managed to paste java script into my webpage code ok and the text trails behind the cursor arrow ok but when i cursor down the page the text gets left behind and eventually disappears. I have a style in css limiting width of body which the java script overides and the page expands to fill the whole screen. Any advice on how to overcome these drawbacks Please.?...I am lost ....
