Pop-up Box Help

Hello,

I am new to this and didn't really search the forums that much because my request is off beat because I really didn't know what to search for.

I want to be able to have a pop-up box that come on the screen that displays a message that contains a small check box that when selected the pop-up box will not appear again unless the message inside it has changed in any way. The pop-up box will also contain a close button and that is it.

Anyone have a script out there that can manage what I need or a place to start? As I stated I know very very little.

I can tell you plenty of scripts on DD to make the windows, but as for the checkbox, that would require a cookie. I'm not good with them, you can either look around at how to use cookies (Google is our friend) or you can wait for someone who can use cookies.
