drag and drop from Windows Explorer to an <input>

I have some <input> tags with the usual browse/submit.

I wondered if there was a way to use Windows Explorer to drag a file from there onto the file name field of the <input>?

OR

Make an image and have it active as a "drop zone" so that a file dropped onto it would automatically upload that file?
