limit size(width)??

Hi!
ok my website allows a user to have a img from a url onto my site for their avatars.
I was wondering how I would make it so it limits them to a certain size so its not to big or too small.

To see what I mean goto the link in my signature and goto site forums...

Any ideas, please post! Thanks!

lets say the size to be 100x100 maybe?

Look at the link there, and if you need to apply that to the dimensions, do that, or resize with GD.
