Image Thumbnail Viewer w/ Image Map in Firefox

3) Describe problem: I'm trying to make this code work with an image map in Firefox... I've made a regular image map work in Firefox before, so it seems like it should be possible to get the thumbnail viewer effects to work if I had the correct code.....right?

It would be great if this could work out in Firefox... I'd be so happy if it did.

FF doesn't read the invalid HTML that you are feeding it in the way that you would like it to. It is closing the link tags before opening each area tag. As a result, there are no clickable links. Have a look at this thread where a method was worked out for the script to actually initialize the area tags, no invalid links required:
