Flash wav player.
Hello flash gurus,
I was wondering if someone could create a simple flash wav file player for me. I found some woderful players but unfortunately they only play mp3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd love it if I could control playing, stopping or pausing the music stream.

Flash will support .aiff, .wav and .mp3 out of the box. Just make your player from one of the tutorials you found and liked and instead of useing the .mp3 extension in the XML use .wav

Sorry for the late reply. I forgot to mention that the wavs need to be streamed from the server. Can flash stream wav files as well?

Streaming adds a whole different animal to the equation. The short answer is no.
The long answer involves getting conversion software and making a Flash streaming player for FLV file types and converting each wav to flv and then playing it through your player.
However there are other ways. And these guys in this article (albeit a bit angry) know what they are talking about.
And show you how to build a very simple interface and stream .wav files.

it's never too late
it's never too late to fix a problem. since flash9 it possible to play any sound, and since flash10 it easy. So, when i have reached problem -- needs to play .wav and .au files on site, i was shocked, that no solutions available.
Well, as result, I have made wav/au flash player, it can play PCM and G711 files.
