    Stop your winging[1] >.<

'Cause we'd like to keep things in order, so no one goes crazy about it, and visitors see us as a nice, helpful forum.

This isn't a social area, were you can just hang out and talk in "internet language". We're here to mainly help, not to babysit people.

People tend to find useless posts annoying, and.. they don't help anyone out. We have a thanks system in place for a reason

Although, you can and should give your own opinion. Just make sure that it will help people out, not just "aww thanks!111!!!! dude!!" or the opinion repeating another person's post.

As said, we're here to help.

Oh, and make sure you read the forum rules in order to receive a good, friendly response.

We're not. It just seems by the way your posting that you're trying to boost yours.

EDIT: [1]Apparently, winging is not a word in America. Please excuse me. Winging = Whining.

Compare post count to thanks then reconsider your argument.

    Now you're offending me

Meh. I only got 100+ more thanks to go...

Oh. And compare how "strict" am I (See how many "thanks" I've given)

I think we're mainly concerned with people who seem to post just to increase their post count, with their post often being short and lacking in any substance. In other words, drive by posts. I hate to say this, but I've noticed that quite a bit with your posts. You shouldn't treat the forums as a place to just post for the sake of it. This is a help forum first and foremost. Either you're asking a question, or you're helping out. Now, the lounge is much more relaxed, but other than that, it's important to not post just for the sake of it.

It's not that we're trying to make it unpleasant to be here. There are reasons [that are a bit hard to explain, perhaps] that will be clear to you once you spend enough time here, I think.

We are here to help, but when that's not made easy for us to do, it's frustrating.

As for 2 years ago, not sure what you mean. What was.... better?

Which case? If you'd like an explanation, just ask.
