JS problem across certain browsers

I started building the site and checking how it would display across IE, Firefox and Safari from Emac platform. Towards the end of development the file 'sidebar.js' will not display in firefox even though i dident make any changed to the file (it just consists of document.write("blah") strings and it worked perfectly at first but once I transferred it to the new server it refused to display even though all my files are uploaded as I had them. Strangely enough it displays perfect in Safari?
