    Default Animated gif help

    Hi,

This is a very easy question, and I've seen the answer somewhere but cant find it again!
How do i make a gif animation play a certain number of times instead of indefinately?

    Thanks,
    Martyn.

That would depend entirely on your software. It should be a property of the animation, but how you access those properties will of course vary from program to program.

Well it's going on my website, so i'm guessing it would be IE6... i'm pretty sure I've seen it done in html somewhere, i just cant remember where.

What GIF software kit are you using?

I can tell you the answer if you're using Flash or ImageReady.

    Hmm,

You could attach the file here and I could modify it for you I guess.
How many repeats do you want?

Well, I use Flash MX '04 Pro, but I'm sure it's the same

Just make your movie as normal, then File > Export and change the type to .gif

    Hi,

Thanks for the offer, but it's not really needed now as it was decided not to use the image at all, so I have removed it from the site.

    Thanks again.

i am probably being redundant, but since i dont want to read through all the posts, i will say what I know.

I use animation shop which comes with paint shop pro, and that is just 1 of the options. it should be built into your programm
