Looking for download script

Hello,

I am planning to open a download section to my site but i am looking a script for this. The download files are big so i am planning to upload them to some file hosting sites and than add their links to script.

I found like 3-4 scripts but the best of bad ones is Olate Download. It is some old script and also heard that it has some bugs in it.

I would be glad if you can recommend me some other download scripts also.

What exactly does this script do?

Grabs the data from several places at once?

You type the download link of the file, you also give file name and description.

And guests comes and choose the file they want to download click the download link and download the file.

More info than that. I understand that it downloads a file, but how does it work?
Why can't you just directly link?

Or, you could link us to a script that is similar to what you want.
