There's currently no "universal/ server time" based version of a countup script on DD. I've always figured counting up seldom requires the starting date be anchored to a specific local time, unlike counting down. If there is demand for it I might create such a script, though right now it doesn't look like the need is there.

the only thing I can think of that would be useful for a "count up" would be to tell how long it has been from a certain date... like x-mas... but it seems rather unuseful since the date has already past.

That's a poor example actually. Counting upwards from x-mas doesn't require the starting date/time be absolute and from a specific timezone (ie: Pacific Time). The user's local time will do, since x-mas is a local event.

Probably the only thing that I can think of would be to display the Server's Uptime.
