Help With Dynamic FX Slide In Menu

3) Describe problem: I'm sorry, I meant I was using Dynamic FX Slide In Menu

Because the site I use is template based, I have to upload an advanced layout containing the JavaScript code. I had to insert the code into the html header. When I upload the file, it seems to overwrite the external CSS file controlling the background image used in my tables. The remaining CSS seems to be left intact, only that one image is altered (changes the background color from the marble image I want to a solid black background). How can I make the background image in my CSS file show instead of the black background?
