    Default unable to troubleshoot cause of white band on page

    please see the link http://www.opal-stone.com just below the top menu you can see a white band on the main page. I am unable to resolve this problem. please help me to troubleshoot this problem. ask me for any clarifications. thank you for your valuable time and efforts.

    there is no band on Fx 1.5 nor in IE 6

    maybe post a screenshot? highlighting where?

    thanks for your prompt reply. i have attached a screenshot showing exactly where the problem lies. it becomes more obvious when the monitor is brightened. i use I.E. 7.0.5730.11

    if you take a look at the screen shot I provided you will see that your "strip" is a table cell. there are 2 cell's in that line, the other is what contains your search information on the left... you would need to reword the way your layout is to the strip to disappear. I didnt notice that before because to me it just looks like you applied some margins to the element to obtain some whitespace to make the content more noticable.
