CMotion Image Gallery - Preloader?

First of all: Thanx for this great script.
But wouldn't it be even better if there is some kind of preloading going on? I load 400 pictures in the cMotion Gallery and this takes some time. In this time, the scrolling is not functional. Any ideas?

Preloading takes just as long as loading. There are many preloading scripts available. However, unless you preload on a previous page, the length of time involved on the page that uses the images will remain the same. If you do preload on a previous page, it will not do much good, and could even lengthen the time for loading the images, if the user doesn't remain on the preload page long enough to load the requisite images. Some preloading scripts display a progress bar so that people have something else to look at while the images are loaded.

Other strategies include:

1. Reduce the number of images.
   
2. Reduce the dimensions of the images.
   
3. Reduce the byte size (via optimization) of the images.
