Have a problem. A close friend introduced me to this site. I was told that as soon as the main/Home page loads on this site that there is suppose to be music playing. I have a new puter and play other music with no problem. Also I have xp - home. Also have java script. Could anyone give some ideas. Oh ya, Yes I did turn on my speakers, been there, done that before also. Thanks. Sincerely Newbie to puter use/DrMagic1

As Cr3ative says, there's never been music enabled on the frontpage of Dynamic Drive.

the page he was refuring to is the Dynamic Drive- Internet Amp midi player 2.02
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...er/mplayer.htm

I have windows ME on my computer and I can hear the music as soon as the page loads.

He sees the page but can not hear anything......is it something to do with XP
or is it something is set wrong in his browser

I have never seen this problem ....and that is why I am asking what is wrong

PS....I wanted to install the player on our site ...but I want everyone to be able to hear it.....not just the older computers.

Ah Ok, this is an old script, and we never gotten around to optimizing it for Windows XP. I can't give you a timeline when the script will be looked at, as this is a 3rd party script, and our understanding of it is limited. It's possible the script may even be removed moving forward if we can't get it to function in modern setups.

In the meantime you might want to check out the last few scripts listed here for other Music related JavaScripts: http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cutindex4.shtml
