    Default Images: swiss knife with buttons

    About a month or so ago on one of the forums, someone asked for and GOT a variation of the DD Swiss Knife image slide show WITH BUTTONS to select specific images in slide show.

    I lost my reference to this DD forum entry. It was a super-duper fabulous script that a DD guru developed and used on his home page. I would love to find this again.

    There were two major variations on that script that I recall. One I had inadvertently taken down and replaced with an earlier version. I think that is the one you are after. I have replaced it with a copy from my archives. It's the one that uses the buttons, one for each image:

    http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s...es/iss_ext.htm

    I'll include the other, as it might be what you are after:

    http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s..._ext_thumb.htm

    Both of the above pages use this script:

    http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/side/files/sai_ss.js

    Which is significantly different in a few key areas from the one available from Dynamic Drive.

    Default Thanks

    Yes http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s...es/iss_ext.htm is what I was looking for.

    I will not be attempting to work this up right now. In case I need to search again, tell me what does the "MOVED" notation mean? Is it under another forum?

    That's a super-duper fabulous script.

    Thanks again.

    Someone moved your post to here:

    Looking for such a script or service > Images: swiss knife with buttons

    It really should have been moved to Dynamic Drive scripts help, but I didn't move it the first time, and wasn't about to move it again, since I could tell you were already having trouble finding the script.

    But, you can always find it now by searching for your posts.

    Default ULTIMATE DD Swiss Knife with Buttons

    I’ve been drooling over jscheuer1’s ULTIMATE sideshow (with bells, whistles, and buttons) ever since I first saw it and am grateful for his sharing it again at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=24217.

    I copied the script from http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/side/files/sai_ss.js and the source code from http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s...es/iss_ext.htm and (I thought) linked to the JavaScript (which I named “jscheuer1.js”}. Of course, I changed the file path/names to my own. But to my great disappointment, I could not get it to work with my files.

    ,,, which made me wonder …?
    Is the info at the end of the line needed? Is this PHP or SQL info?

    And does this need to be altered?

    slides5[12].noborder=true;
    slides5[13].fadecolor='#CC6600';
    slides5[14].fadecolor='#663399';

    I really want so very much to use this wonderful script, but need some step-by-step hand holding. Have you (will you) incorporate this into a Dynamic Drive sideshow script?

    Default open source script?

    Is this magnificent/complicated script now (or will it be at some future date) available as "open source" use? I can only find this by searching for "user" name reference. Where does it reside in forum?

    I could not correct my previous comment (ASP= Microsoft Action Server Pages).
    Is server-side scripting a necessary aspect of this script?
