Ha, I like it. But I hit select all (for no reason in particular) and I couldn't ever get them deselected... that was weird

Ha, yeah. I was able to deselect them by disabling CSS and then reenabling CSS in Firefox using the Firefox Buttons extension.Originally Posted by djr33

Just clicking once on the page in any empty area should deselect in any browser. For those that don't work as expected with this or any other page, press F5.
I've often thought that the edit menu in browsers should include 'select nothing', 'clear selection', or 'select none'. But, very few programmers listen to me these days.
It would look odd on any but a black background and would obscure stuff on any background. I do have a version of that image that has a transparent background, which would give it slightly more flexibility, but not as much as one might think.

You could build the animation into the JS. Not pretty, but it'd work.
