Switch Content Script with AJAX??

ı am a newbie. I try to understand, modify and make Ajax scripts. But i have a serious problem. I have a list of names,(about 100 records). I list them using asp. I want that, when user clicks on a name, the rest of the page will slide down, and extra info will be given to the user.

The switch content script is perfect for me but i have to load all the data to user. This can be heavy. I prefer to do it with ajax. I looked for it and i coudn't find a script for this problem. I tried to modify other scripts (ajax tab etc...) but i coudn't do it.

Do you have any ideas for me?
