Different Checkbox

Ok, i was wondering if its possible to change the checkbox's.. i wanna use an image which looks almost like the checkbox but is different... *its got a black check instead of a green one, and the box is more detailed...*

i have the two images to show what i mean...

Could i use those as the check box by using CSS? or would that be done in Javascript?

I think you should use Javascript, CSS is not a good suggestion in this case.
