is there a way to make the;

" var trans_width='340px' //slideshow width " variable so that when using different size pics with a bg on the page, you dont end up with white space around the pics?

i tried changing it to 100%.... the first slide acted strange, but then worked fine bg wise but it was off center.

any one have a suggestion?

I see it says not to but, in the script, did you try changing this:

////NO need to edit beyond here/////////////

var bgcolor='white'

to the background color of your page?

thanx for the heads up....

after some playing around with your suggestion, I came up with

var bgcolor='lgrey031.jpg'

which is the textured bg i was using.
